The headquarters of Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET) Berlin is located on the banks of Kreuzberg with spectacular views of the “Oberbaumbrücke” and the bustling city. Three connected office towers and an extended winter garden are home to more than 1,000 employees. Mirato has designed the complete interior concept of the 18,000 m² new office rooms.
Concept
JET connects consumers at home with restaurants in the city. Mirato has translated the core activity into the office layout: The bright orange path (JET) connects comfortable workplaces (at home) with the active and bustling core of the building (restaurants).

WINTERGARDEN
The entire ground floor is designed for encounters and creativity. Mirato has added a multifunctional winter garden to the building that merges the spectacular courtyard, the river and the office. The 8-metre-high glass greenhouse full of daylight and greenery is the ideal place to meet and relax.
MATERIALS IN CONTEXT
To add warmth to the design, the center core is fully covered in oak.
This gives a nice contrast to the concrete structure of the building, and creates a balance between a raw and elegant character — which refers to the up-and-coming and bustling neighborhood of Kreuzberg.
The challenge was to create a place that attracts young talent from the neighborhood and offers space to meet, work and relax, and where the 'Takeaway' brand is firmly established.
Clean sight lines, wood, soft colors and plants offer a contrast to Takeaway's powerful orange color. Modular and flexibility underpin this design, allowing Takeaway to grow in their current office with an eye to the future.
